I swear to God I love this city,
but I wonder if this city loves me !
WOW! Can you imagine to go to work daily, risking your life and wondering that ?
Just nine days before he was killed on duty in Baton Rouge, slain Officer Jackson wrote this on his Face book but also to all of us.
” I’m tired physically and emotionally,” he wrote on July 8, the morning after the ambush in Dallas. Officer Jackson also posted pictures on Facebook in support of other departments after officers died in the line of duty.
He added, “I swear to God I love this city, but I wonder if this city loves me. In uniform, I get nasty hateful looks, and out of uniform some consider me a threat. I’ve experienced so much in my short life and these last 3 days have tested me to the core.”
He was hopeful for his city, Baton Rouge, as he said, “This city MUST and WILL get better. I’m working in these streets so any protesters, officers, friends, family or whoever, if you see me and need a hug or want to say a prayer. I got you.”
He was always ready to help others no only continually doing his risky job but also offering a hug or a prayer to everyone: protesters, officers, friends or family.
Officer Jackson was married, and the couple had a son this year.
Slain Officer Jackson left a great message to all of US.
We lost a hero and a man who truly loved his job, the city and all of US.
The truth is : America needs Jesus ! We need Jesus! Only Jesus can unite US.
Yes, this is the truth – if You agree with me or not.
I promise, one day you will agree with me.
Praying is not going to be too late.
